DEFROST BEFORE COOKING. TO DEFROST: DO NOT OPEN THE VACUUM PACK
Defrost overnight in the refrigerator or submerge the entire vacuum package in cold water until thawed (approximately 40 minutes or until product is completely defrosted).
COOK PROMPTLY AFTER THAWING. REMOVE FROM PACKAGING by cutting with scissors around the protective plastic wrap.
BARBECUE
- Preheat BBQ to medium-high heat (approximately 425F)
- Place the salmon and plank directly over the BBQ grill and close cover for approximately 14-18 minutes or until internal core temperature reaches 145F
- When cooking on the BBQ make sure to have a spray bottle handy in case of flare ups
CONVENTIONAL OVEN
- Preheat oven to 425F
- Place the salmon and plank directly on the MIDDLE rack
- Bake for 14-18 minutes or until the internal core temperature reaches 145F
DO NOT OVERCOOK
Salmon is cooked when the flesh become flaky. Salmon is perfectly cooked when it is still slightly pink in the center of the fillet. Remove immediately from cooking source. Product will continue to cook when you remove it from the grill or oven. Salmon will easily come off the plank when serving. Do not reuse the plank.
